Rehearse and perform chamber music throughout this intense program. Groups receive detailed instruction and coaching in rehearsal and performance techniques from outstanding classical performing artists.
Preformed groups (string quartets, wind quintets, trios) are encouraged to apply to receive valuable coaching for your group.
Studying and performing chamber music is excellent training for a professional career in classical music, whether you are working towards a career as soloist, member of a professional ensemble, starting your own performing organization, conducting or teaching. Classical music is a lifelong learning tool, delightfully challenging, rewarding and fun.
Each faculty artist chosen to teach and perform at the Young Artist Institute is an accomplished professional solo and chamber musician. All young artists have the opportunity to participate in and observe master classes presented by the faculty artists, valuable master classes that concentrate on solo performance and on chamber music performance.
Pick the brains of the professional artist faculty. The artists you will be working with received their professional classical training from the finest performers from around the world. They all studied at the top conservatories and universities. Each faculty artist has participated in, and now presents, solo and chamber music masterclasses themselves around the world. They also perform and record worldwide. Here at the Young Artist Institute the international artist faculty will share with you their valuable insight from years of professional experience.
From the Directors
For over thirty years and for nearly 700 concerts the Beethoven Festival has been dedicated to bringing together outstanding classical soloists to perform together. The concerts are primarily focused on chamber and solo performances, but have also included chamber orchestra and full orchestra over the years. The directors feel that there are many opportunities for young artists to work in full orchestra, however, the training received in studying chamber music is essential to a deeper study of style, performance and great ensemble playing. To that aim, the Festival will again present its Young Artist Institute program: the intense and concentrated approach to professional solo and ensemble performance.
The Young Artist Institute faculty artists are all top professional performing artists who were chosen for their dedication to sharing what they have learned with the next generations of classical artists.
Come study and perform alongside this wonderful artists. We look forward to working with you on the music we all love!
